Worship Music & Arts

At UUSGU meaningful worship is at the heart of congregational life and music is central to our worship. Music communicates profound and powerful ideas. It inspires and elicits deep emotion. It invites exploration and play. It moves us.

Like worship itself, music and the arts build bridges to other communities, to other age groups, and to other cultures. They provide a means to enter into deeper understandings of our common experience, and also let us have fun!

Our choir makes a huge joyful noise each time they sing and you can join at anytime; no auditions are necessary. We also have very active instrumental and vocal ensembles that provide a broad range of eclectic types of music, from folk and pop to jazz, classical and Kirtan. If you are an artist of any kind, please make yourself known to us: we’d love to hear your music, display your creations, hear your words and feel your presence. Consider this your personal invitation to participate! Contact us for more information.

UUSGU Dance Group

The UUSGU Dance Group launched in the Fall of 2019!

Led by our talented Senior Youth Group member, Brynna Seligman, the UUSGU Dance Group performs choreographed pieces at special services throughout the year.

Members are welcome to join for one service performance or all of them! The requirement is simply to attend the one rehearsal prior to the service. Please contact re@uusgu.org if you are interested in joining!
